24 Hr. Readathon that I'm "fake" participating in

I am doing the 24 Hr Readathon this weekend! Except I didn't actually sign up, nor do I have any desire to actually read for the whole 24 hrs because that sounds ridiculous. However, I do have plans to read alllllll day tomorrow and I'm super excited about it. Plus, I'm doing it with a bestie who lives on the other side of the country. :)

As for my book list for tomorrow, I have a stack of books waaaaay bigger than I'll ever be able to read. I'm going to focus on shorter, light books so that I can finish some and have a sense of accomplishment.
I have 3 graphic novels. Buffy Season 8 Vol. 4&5 and a kid's Binky to the Rescue.

I have a bunch of Newbery but probably By the Shores of Silver Lake which is Little House on the Prairie 5 or Voice that Challenged a Nation which is a nonfiction book by Russell Freedman.

For new books I have Grimm Legacy, Incarceron, and Mockingjay. All YA fantasy/dystopian that aren't necessarily light. If I start Mockingjay it's a given that I will spend alllll my time reading that and for sure finish it. I've been putting it off because I don't want the series to end.
If I feel like reading a classic of sorts, I got A Bear Called Paddington. It's pretty short and should be an easy read if I need it. And my audio book is Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson because the second book is coming out in a week or two and it would be a nice refresher.

Waiting for me at the library (requested specifically for this marathon) are Away Laughing on a Fast Camel (GN5), Creepy Crawly Crime (another graphic novel, Cybils), Wide Awake Princess (2010), Saturdays (Top 100 #51), and Howl's Moving Castle (cuz L just read it and I've heard good things about that author in general).

Plus, I'm reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets which I'm hoping to finish up. And then I have that Serial Garden which I don't like and I may try to read a story or two in between books but I might just say "I'm not reading this at all for the readathon."

And that's not even all the books I have on my "to read" pile. Needless to say, I think I'm set and I won't be running out of things to read. There are 5 books I have from the library that didn't even make this list! I also have a couple picture books to read too, but they don't really count.

That's 17 books on the pile. Lmao, I crack myself up. :)
