Summer Reading (June & July)

Every two months I make a new "To be Read" list. I used to do seasonal reading lists that were for three months but I found that was too long and I had moved on to wanting to read different books long before the three months were up. So far, two months has worked well for me and I thought I'd start sharing these lists with you so you can comment on what you've read, what you'd like to read, what I should never read... :)

I have lots of lists that I draw from, I'm doing a Newbery challenge this year so I try to include lots of those, Cybils, Printz, etc., literature winners lists, I have lots of series that I read, or authors (right now I'm reading Beverly Cleary and Lucy Maud Montgomery), classics, I also try to read some 2010 books. Eventually the books that start getting talked about for the Newbery 2011 will start making my list.

This list is ridiculously long and I'd never be able to read them all in two months but it's a good basis from which to pick books. Obviously books get added along the way, as they're published, recommended, or I find more at the library.

The set up of my list is: Author. Title. Tidbit.
The "tidbit" is something like the list I got it from, the series, basically it helps me remember the reason that I want to read it. My list is always something I have fun with and I enjoy messing around making it. If you're curious about what any of the books are, just ask!
